Caring At Home, In-Home Personal Care & Live-In Agency knows about family.

Michael saw a need for caregivers in the home throughout Pennsylvania years before it was common. He and his wife Holly founded the first Assisted Living Facility in Pennsylvania and grew it into what was, at the time, the largest privately-owned senior living company in the State, with the first Caring At Home office opening in Scranton in 1995.

Here at Caring At Home, we are one big family taking care of your family! With over 26 years of In-Home Personal Care & Live-In companion experience, Caring At Home is a Pennsylvania leader. Our care management team is made up of community & industry leaders who are at the forefront of home care changes & regulations. Caring At Home was one of the first Pennsylvania agencies to test and be Electronic Visit Verification compliant to meet national regulations.

Meet our President & CEO

Michael Scott

Michael Gary Scott was named Regional Manager of Caring At Home Scranton after a phenomenally successful run as a Care Manager in the Scranton branch under the tutelage of Edward Truck. In his role as Regional Manager, Scott is responsible for executing care strategies and marketing as well as logistics and caregiver coordination for all of Northeastern Pennsylvania and parts of the Mid-Atlantic region.

Modern Technology

  • We use an Electronic Visit Verification System which features a COVID-19 Fit for Duty Health Screening daily for all caregivers.
  • Our local management team monitors this system for instant information such as caregiver clock-in/clock-out times and monitors the system daily to ensure that plan of care items are completed for each visit.
  • A Designated family member is able to log onto the Electronic Visit Verification system to review your loved one’s schedule for the current week or past month.

Ease of Payment

  • Caring At Home works closely with multiple payer sources such as Veterans Administration, Long Term Care Insurance Companies, and other third-party payers.
  • We offer you payment options by Debit Card, Credit Card, or by check either by phone, online or automatic payment.

Why our training is exceptional…

Caring At Home requires that all PCA caregivers receive a minimum of 40 Hours of Personal Care training.

Our CNA/NA candidates have completed the state approved nursing courses to earn their certification.

We provide continuous Quality Improvement training through twice monthly In-Services.
