Our Story: A Journey of Compassion and Care
Michael saw a need for caregivers in the home throughout Pennsylvania years before it was common. He and his wife Holly founded the first Assisted Living Facility in Pennsylvania and grew it into what was, at the time, the largest privately-owned senior living company in the State, with the first Caring At Home office opening in Scranton in 1995.
Here at Caring At Home, we are one big family taking care of your family! With over 26 years of In-Home Personal Care & Live-In companion experience, Caring At Home is a Pennsylvania leader. Our care management team is made up of community & industry leaders who are at the forefront of home care changes & regulations. Caring At Home was one of the first Pennsylvania agencies to test and be Electronic Visit Verification compliant to meet national regulations.
The Caring At Home teams have remained vigilant in COVID-19 training & protocols, and provided PPE to our caregivers, all to offer ‘Care, Compassion & Security for all ages in the comfort of their own homes.’

Michael Gary Scott was named Regional Manager of Caring At Home Scranton after a phenomenally successful run as a Care Manager in the Scranton branch under the tutelage of Edward Truck.
